Nicolas Degennes is one of the most creative artists working in beauty today. As artistic director of Givenchy Makeup, he is constantly innovating and developing cutting-edge products, colours and textures. His powders are legendary – featherlight and ultra-flattering.
Nicolas’ latest creation is this 9 de Givenchy, a palette of nine Couture eyeshadows (available in five complementary harmonies) You’ll notice there are four finishes in each palette: matte, satin, glitter and metallic – combining neutral tones with sophisticated ultra-pigmented shades. Fans of this product rave at how comfortable this formula feels on eyelids with a promise of 12-hour wear. Even the packaging is luxe: a black compact stamped with the Maison’s signature logo.
I’ve selected two of my favourite shades to showcase. Le 9.02 is a carefully curated selection of jewel tones with deep grey accents. Emerald green, antique bronze and shimmering gold work beautifully with the charcoal and inky accent hues. The colours were picked to complement each other.
Shade Le 9.05 is a clever blend of rustic browns, warm goldenrod, sparkling win and sophisticated gunmetal. These are colours that will take you through fall into winter.

July 20, 2020 at 1:18 pmI love 9.05 and would use it more because the warm tones go well with my deeper complexion, as well as I could use the colours to make an everyday daytime look or glam it up more to create a going out look. The bronze colours also work so well to create a summer glow look but also be used well into the fall @vkattar

July 20, 2020 at 12:39 pmWow! Both of these are gorgeous! My pick would be Shade Le 9.02 just because brown shades like in the other one, they have a tendency to make me look so tired! But there are some incredible, beautiful hues in both! I would definitely use them both, but I really love the 9.02 with the gunmetal grays and other lovely colors! I love how they are both made to be used together. That is how I find out what works for me and what does not, a whole lot of trial and error! I can’t know what will look good if I never try a new look. Either of these gorgeous Givenchy palettes would be so much fun to play around with and get the feel of.
