Nicolas Degennes is one of the most creative artists working in beauty today. As artistic director of Givenchy Makeup, he is constantly innovating and developing cutting-edge products, colours and textures. His powders are legendary – featherlight and ultra-flattering.
Nicolas’ latest creation is this 9 de Givenchy, a palette of nine Couture eyeshadows (available in five complementary harmonies) You’ll notice there are four finishes in each palette: matte, satin, glitter and metallic – combining neutral tones with sophisticated ultra-pigmented shades. Fans of this product rave at how comfortable this formula feels on eyelids with a promise of 12-hour wear. Even the packaging is luxe: a black compact stamped with the Maison’s signature logo.
I’ve selected two of my favourite shades to showcase. Le 9.02 is a carefully curated selection of jewel tones with deep grey accents. Emerald green, antique bronze and shimmering gold work beautifully with the charcoal and inky accent hues. The colours were picked to complement each other.
Shade Le 9.05 is a clever blend of rustic browns, warm goldenrod, sparkling win and sophisticated gunmetal. These are colours that will take you through fall into winter.
