Which Dolce & Gabbana Fruit Collection fragrance is your favourite? Pineapple or lemon? Tell us and you could win both!
One of the most exciting fragrance projects of 2020 is Dolce & Gabbana’s Fruit Collection fragrances. The Italian design duo paid tribute to the mouthwatering marzipan confections found in tiny pasticceries throughout Sicily. These sugar creations are shaped into lemons, oranges and pineapples – and are proudly displayed in the café windows to entice tourists and residents. The marzipan Frutta di Martonara as they are called are beloved throughout Italy.
Dolce & Gabbana pay homage to this art with a trio of fruit-themed fragrances that sport spectacular caps shaped as lemons, oranges and pineapples. The fragrances are fresh and joyful built around the single fruit in nuanced layers.
Dolce & Gabbana Fruit Collection Pineapple
Pineapple is an exotic fruity-gourmand fragrance created by perfumer Marie Salamagne that perfectly captures the sweet tang of fresh pineapple. She blends juicy Sicilian mandarin oil with sun-soaked jasmine sambac and pure vanilla absolute. Then she finishes the composition off with orchid, amber and moss. The crisp pineapple is beautifully balanced with the floral notes – and the vanilla gives it warmth.
Dolce & Gabbana Fruit Collection Lemon
Lemon is described as a fresh, solar-fruity scent created by perfumer Jerome Epinette who takes inspiration from the markets of Palermo and the Sicilian lemon harvests. He establishes the fragrance as a classic Italian cologne with fresh lemon and Calabrian bergamot oils cold-pressed from the fruit zests. He then blends in lemon tree petitgrain distilled from the leaves. A splash of ginger essence adds a nice kick before a mossy drydown of Haitian vetiver and woody notes. It is refreshing and joyful.
THE GIVEAWAY: I gave away this pair of Dolce & Gabbana Fruit Collection fragrances to one lucky reader. To enter, I asked readers to tell me in a blog post comment below which of the two scents is their favourite and why? Brett M told us and we drew his name from all entries. Congrats Brett!
Dolce & Gabbana Fruit Collection fragrances are available at select Hudson’s Bay stores.

September 26, 2020 at 3:59 pmThe Lemon is the one I most want to try. Both are great sounding, bit orchid can be too strong of a floral for me. Pineapple is a great smelling scent though too. Both sound like they’re going to whisk my senses away to an exotic vacation.
