Are you a #StarbucksAtHome Night Owl? (tell us & win ANR)
When I first joined Twitter six years ago, I was amazed at how many of my new beauty Twitter friends were night owls. I’d be tweeting out beauty giveaways and all these people throughout Europe were entering and commenting on the products. And it was 2 am their time!! Many of them told me they work shift work or suffer from insomnia. Still others were university students who preferred to write essays in the middle of the night when there was complete silence. (I remember starting projects about 1 am after pub night in university) And let’s not forget new moms who are up throughout the night nursing their newborns. 3 am is actually much busier than you’d imagine.
Unfortunately, this schedule can stress your skin. That’s because the body does the majority of its repair work on skin between 11 pm and 4 am when we are usually fast asleep. Estee Lauder scientists have done a lot of research into this nighttime repair process and have identified a series of cycles that happen each night. This ChronoluxCB technology was the basis for the Advanced Night Repair serum which helps support the body’s synchronization and purification systems to fight the signs of aging. With our stressful lives and changing schedules, the body’s repair cycles can become erratic. This serum helps bring them back into optimum balance. I’m a big fan of ANR. It feels beautiful on skin.
So in honour of all my social media friends who burn the candle at both ends, I’m giving away a special #StarbucksAtHome Night Owl set containing Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair and some very good quality coffee from Starbucks (available in select grocery stores) I’ve even included a special Starbucks anniversary cup.
Caffe Verona
This dark roast coffee boasts a blend of beans from Latin America & Indonesia with a gentle touch of Italian roast. It was named after Romeo & Juliet’s hometown and pairs beautifully with chocolate.
Pike Place
This medium-roast coffee is said to be the very first coffee blend created by Starbucks and was named after the Seattle neighbourhood where the first store is located. It is smooth and balanced with a rich flavour. It featured predominantly Latin American coffee beans.
Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-In-Place Flawless Wear Concealer in 2c Light Medium
Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Lipstick in Nude Cult
If you have to hide dark circles and look fresh after a night of little sleep, I’ve included an Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer and a fresh nude lipstick. Hopefully, this set will help you feel and look more rested.
Starbucks Anniversary cup
The Giveaway: I gave away this #StarbucksAtHome + ANR set to one lucky reader. To enter, I asked readers to tell me in a blog post comment below if they are a Night Owl? Janice M told us and we drew her name from all entries. Congrats Janice!
Estee Lauder is available in Canada at Hudson’s Bay stores and thebay.com

November 3, 2017 at 10:20 amI used to be a night owl when I was younger, but getting a job that started at 5.30am cured me of that! Suddenly I became the most boring person ever on a night out, falling asleep in the pub at 9.30 after only one drink. Thankfully that job is history and now I’m even older I could sleep for England. But I still love ANR. @ElaBluEyes

November 3, 2017 at 10:15 amWell, I used to be a night owl, but I converted. In the past, I went to college during the day, worked until 2AM, and then still had essays to write or exams to study for. I could run on about 3 hours of sleep and be fine. Fast forward 15 years, and ALL of that changed! I still have to work all day, but now, if I’m not in bed, asleep by midnight, I’m worthless the next day. I feel like a zombie when I don’t get enough sleep. And it ABSOLUTELY affects my skin! I get more breakouts when I’m stressed and don’t get enough rest. I don’t like the way I feel when I go to bed late. But some nights, I just CAN’T fall asleep. I used to be an insomniac and spent so many nights staring at the clock. I would be stressing about things I had to do and how to find the time to get everything done. It seems like some days, there just are not enough hours in the day to get everything done. I try to catch up on my sleep on the weekends, which I know doctors do not recommend. But there’s nothing quite like sleeping in on a Sunday morning and just staying in bed. Great giveaway, Dave! Hope you have a wonderful weekend! xoxoJJ

November 3, 2017 at 10:13 amNot so much a Night Owl any longer. However, I am up early and starting my morning with my Starbucks. I go all day long chasing my 3 yr old granddaughter and continued to drink my coffee. Then it’s my 7 yr old granddaughter home from school, more coffee, homework, cooking, coffee and it seems the day lasts forever. Thank goodness for my coffee breaks. I’m finally in bed worn-out & passed out by 10!!

November 3, 2017 at 10:12 amHi Dave! What a lovely idea! ???? i am a night owl, and barely get more than 5 hours a night, not great when you still have to wake up early in the morning. But I am trying to practice more sleeping tips, like putting my phone, iPad away 1 hour before I want to sleep, drinking, camomile tea in bed etc..no luck yet, but it’s still day 2 ????, we’ll see!

November 3, 2017 at 10:11 amI used to be a night owl as I worked in a nightclub for years but also had a day job so I didn’t get much sleep from my late teens to my early thirties but I’m still awake until 1am as I read in bed but my dog faithfully wakes me each morning at 7am sometimes she lets me lie in until half past lol. This is a super selection and I’d love the night serum
