MAC Cosmetics is partnering with Park Hye-Min, aka Pony Park, for a limited edition makeup collection. It’s called MAC Pony Park and it is mix of everyday neutrals and pops of berry colour.
“Pony Park is synonymous with K-beauty. She is South Korea’s biggest and most sought-after beauty blogger and inspires her fan base to tap into their own creativity,” explains Regan Rabanal, APAC Senior Manager of Makeup Artistry, Hong Kong. “In her collaboration with MAC, you’ll find formula innovation and shades from punchy sweet to deeply delightful berry tones and mysterious shimmers, all in tarot-inspired packaging. If you’ve always wanted to try K-beauty, this is the collection for you.”
The artist, influencer and entrepreneur is known for her dramatic transformations and the tips she shares with her more than six million loyal Instagram followers. With distinctive aesthetic vision and talent, she’s set herself apart through her belief in inclusion and accessibility for all. She’s published tutorials customized for hijab wearers and shared tips for monolid makeup.
“My collection with MAC is super meaningful to me in that I am able to bring K-beauty, Korean culture and Asian beauty and culture to the global market,” says Pony. “I’ve been showing various looks on my social networks and videos for years and through this collaboration with MAC, I’m able to bring the actual experience to global consumers so they can experience my vision directly and hands-on as they try the products.”
Think of this collection as a carefully edited group of versatile colours, unique textures and modern essentials that can be mixed and matched for an endless variety of looks.
Check out the groundbreaking Matte Lip Mousse, an ethereally weightless formula that glides on evening for misty soft-matte colour.
The collection entails nine Matte Lip Mousse shades, tinted Plenty of Pout Plumping Lip Gloss, a neutral-hued Eyeshadow x 8 palette, two cosmic-embossed Extra Dimension Skinfinish shades, a softly iridescent Prep + Prime Fix+, a face powder brush, a duo fibre eye shader brush, and a pair of lashes. All are packaged in sun, moon and star-touched sleeves inspired by tarot cards.
“To me, this collection tells a beautiful story about luminosity,” says Lyn Desnoyers, Global Director of Makeup Artisty for MAC. “Core to K-beauty is the idea of radiance that is present in every step of the beauty regime, from skincare to makeup. This has hugely influenced makeup lovers around the world – the gestures and the details to create glowy makeup have become essential for everyone.”
