Luxury Giveaway Winners News

Gucci Bamboo debuts

Gucci Bamboo debuts. Win a bottle! Throughout its rich and sometimes dramatic history, Gucci has one iconic material that has outsold all others: bamboo. Able to withstand a hurricane’s force, bamboo’s strength compares to steel. That’s hard to believe consider its slender elegance. Gucci has incorporated bamboo shapes and accents into accessories, bags, luggage and even fashion designs. Gucci bamboo handled bags are amongst the brand’s all-time bestsellers. They sell equally well throughout North and South America as they do in Europe and Asia.

For that reason, Gucci has created a new luxury fragrance that is an homage to bamboo and the Gucci woman who loves it. It’s a confident, feminine scent with floral and warm amber and vanilla notes. The Art Deco-styled bottle, cut in the shape of a diamond, is topped by a silver metal cap in the shape of bamboo’s svelte contours.

The fragrance itself is a classic composition. The notes include:

  • Crisp bergamot
  • Orange Blossom
  • Ylang ylang
  • Casablanca Lily
  • Tahitian vanilla
  • Grey Amber Accord
  • Sandalwood

The giveaway: I gave away a bottle of Gucci Bamboo to one lucky reader. Heather S from Ottawa told me her favourite note in this scent. We drew her name at random. Congrats Heather!

I love orange blossom. A tiny part of the boundary hedge in our garden is orange blossom, it smells wonderful but OMG it makes me sneeze when we trim it! @ElaBluEyes

Several favorites, but if I have to pick just one, it’d have to be the orange blossoms.
    Thank you!
