“Every Action Counts, What’s Yours?” This is the question being asked by the Estée Lauder Companies’ 2015 Breast Cancer Awareness (BCA) Campaign. And they need help from all of you who are active on social media.
Over the past two decades, The Estée Lauder Companies’ BCA Campaign (created by Evelyn Lauder in 1992) has been a leading voice for breast cancer awareness around the world. Today, The BCA Campaign has raised more than $58 million. These funds have resulted in innovations such as the launch of an early-phase breast cancer vaccine trial and improved ways to assess risk in young girls from families with multiple cases of breast cancer.
This year, The BCA Campaign is committed to raising $6 million to support global breast cancer research, education and medical services. This year’s campaign harnesses the power of a global, interactive digital experience, using the website BCAcampaign.com and social media @BCAcampaign. Here’s how you can help:
During the campaign, which runs from October 1, 2015 to World Cancer Day on February 4, 2016, the Estée Lauder companies will donate $25 for each action posted to their site, and each unique action shared on Instagram or Twitter with the hashtag #BCAstrength
“Actions” can consist of photos, text or video. You simply upload your photo, story or video to show how you are taking action to bring us closer to a world without breast cancer. (For inspiration, you can view the video and photos already there.) You can also purchase pink ribbon products on the site to show your support.
The goal is to fund up to 500 research hours ($25,000) through the support of the global digital community.
In addition, BCA will be creating an international, multimedia project that they will share globally on World Cancer Day, February 4, 2016. All actions submitted via BCAcampaign.com between October 1 and December 31, 2015 will be eligible for inclusion. This inspiring project will serve as an inspiration for everyone around the world to continue to make a difference in the fight against breast cancer.
Please consider adding your voice to this worthwhile project. It will empower women, men and families worldwide in their fight to help end this disease.
(In Canada, you can also purchase Estée Lauder products supporting the Breast Cancer Research Foundation on thebay.com)

October 16, 2015 at 2:22 pmIt’s a great campaign to raise awareness and I really like that they’re providing ways for everyone to get involved, even if your not really in a position to help financially, there are many, many ways to make a difference. Honestly, some of the biggest helps are things that don’t cost a dime, just some of your time and compassion. Help with the kids, do their house cleaning or cook a nice meal!! Love this campaign!! ????
