The fun kicked off on May 14th with a spectacular dinner and skincare event in downtown Toronto for 24 lucky Twitter followers. These beauty enthusiasts got to experience the world premiere of a cutting-edge new eye serum called “Ultimune Eye” by Shiseido. It boosts the immunity of the fragile skin around the eye area and actually helps any eye product work more effectively. It comes a year after the global success of Ultimune. That product has spurred a “skin immunity” trend in beauty. You’ll see many more products coming in the next 12 months.
Followers entered to win an invite to this dinner at davelackie.com. What they didn’t know when they arrived is they were going to get to tour Shiseido’s high tech traveling skincare lab. It’s a mammoth truck containing interactive stations, videos and makeup tables. Shiseido’s top artists brought the launch to life explaining the 20 years of research that went into the formula.
After touring the lab, everyone was treated to a gourmet dinner by one of the city’s top chefs. There was an exclusive cocktail with floating rose petals, a decadent dessert and luxe gift bag full of Shiseido product.
This really is the true beauty editor experience. The format, press material and event format is exactly the same that you’d experience as beauty director for Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar or InStyle magazine. It was such a fun evening with a truly great group of people.
