This month, I’m giving away one of my favourite eyeshadow palettes. It’s Lisa Eldridge’s Muse Eyeshadow Palette containing six elegant and beautiful rosy hues. What I love about this collection is the six colours are carefully curated to work harmoniously and complementary. They are easy to blend and work on all skin tones.

(She has served as a Global Makeup Artist for Lancome in the past). This is the Idole Café Crush Nude Eyeshadow Palette. It’s a rich nude palette designed to flatter all skin tones and personalities. The French term pique-nique (1692) meant 'picking at small bits of food'. In 1802, wealthy Londoners formed the Pic Nic Society to host lavish social outdoor picnics. The 19th-century Victorian era saw picnics move fully outdoors to gardens and the countryside, becoming a popular, genteel & wholesome leisure activity, as seen in literature and painting. In Victorian times, families and friends would use carriage rides to visit rural areas for lunch on a blanket, often described as an escape from urban life.

Such a fun morning celebrating the launch of Carolina Herrera’s La Bomba Eau de Parfum. Industry experts predict this amber-floral fragrance for her will be one of the biggest global scent launches of 2026. (It’s already sold out at Sephora in Canada). The addictive fragrance was created by perfumers Christophe Raynaud, Quentin Bisch and Louise Turner and blends notes of dragon fruit (pitaya), red peony, frangipani, vanilla and patchouli to beautiful effect. The butterfly-shaped bottle is striking and surprisingly heavy – it a quality flacon. I learned today that the name was a nickname iconic American Vogue Editor Diana Vreeland gave to Carolina because of her lively personality.
