The fall 2025 beauty season has kicked off in retail stores and online ecomm sites. Both fragrance houses and skincare brands save their biggest launches of the year for August and September when consumers are most likely to try a new perfume or moisturizer. The sales momentum of the launches typically extends through to holiday when sales really take off.
Here’s a quick look at what to look for this fall. Clinique’s new SPF 50 Dramatically Different Moisturizer is a game changer because the brand’s scientists have been able to formulate such a high SPF into a lightweight moisturizer with no heaviness or stickiness.
Watch for some ultra-luxe makeup brushes to pop up leading through autumn and holiday. This is a trend from Asia where makeup influencers are using makeup brushes as status symbols on social media. Some of the brushes are truly beautiful. Remember to wash your brushes in baby shampoo each week and rinse with warm water. Allow to air dry. Do this regularly and your brushes will last a good 10+ years.
And fragrance continues to grow at 9% year-over-year, a remarkable feat considering the price increases of late. Burberry Goddess Parfum is beautifully blended with a new suede leather accord that adds a velvety texture to the vanilla-themed fragrance. Jean Paul Gaultier’s Scandal Intense editions are a sensation in Europe and offer great sex appeal for her or him. One spray of an eau de parfum Intense will last a good seven hours.
And Le Sel d’Issey by Issey Miyake is a refined elegant marine-woody scent for him that will appeal to any businessman. While last year’s eau de toilette was more aquatic, this version plays up the cedarwood and oakmoss notes. It’s beautifully done.

All of these fragrances and the Clinique skincare are available at Shoppers Drug Mart and shoppersdrugmart.ca
