I keep my grooming regime simple. I am a simple guy and my schedule is very busy, so I don’t use many products. That’s why I honestly like using Biotherm Homme products because they are easy and straightforward. I particularly like Aquapower moisturizer because it is the last product I apply on my skin and I love the feeling of my skin after I apply it.

My training schedule is intense. When I’m training, we do about six hours of work per day with either two tennis and one fitness workout or two fitness and one tennis workout. We then follow it by 1.5 hours of treatment and injury prevention.

I always use sunscreen. Playing tennis, I’m often outside so I’m careful to use good sun protection. Also, because I train so much, I take a lot of showers and really feel the need to hydrate my skin.

My favourite court in the world to play on is Toronto. It’s my home and since my big rise, I haven’t had the chance to play in front of a Toronto crowd other than an exhibition.

My idol in tennis is Pete Sampras.  He was the sports figure I was most excited to meet.  I watched him play for so many hours growing up. I also admire Michael Jordan, Sydney Crosby and George St. Pierre.

My favourite fashion brand is Lacoste. It’s the one you’ll see me wearing the most.

The secret to a great tennis serve is a lot of work and a healthy shoulder. Hard work always pays off. The time and practice an athlete puts in behind the scenes isn’t seen. My best advice to a young player is to work hard and surround yourself with people you trust. This is the most important thing.

I listen to a bit of everything when it comes to music. My iPod playlist changes weekly but I do like Drake.

I still get nervous before a big match.  I just try to focus on what I need to do in the moment and try to focus on only the things I can control.

My carry-on always includes my laptop, iPad, two Wilson tennis racquets and a pair of shoes just in case my bags get lost.
