YSL’s Pop Illusion Spring Look 2018

French fashion and beauty House YSL is kicking off 2018 with a riot of joyful colour in its limited edition Pop Illusion Collection. Psychedelic brightness. Kaleidoscopic colours. Acid brights. Magic lights. This is a collection that encourages you to play and experiment with bold colour – but with next textures, new formulas and new finishes. Musician Staz Lindes stars in the ad campaign and she’s photographed gazing over the city at sunset with a cloud of vibrant smoke swirling around her. This is one brand that I’m incredibly excited to watch. There is such innovation and creativity behind it right now.

Lip Palette Collector

This just may be one of the most beautiful YSL palette designs – a wave of pink, red and yellow stamped with the YSL Cassandre logo. Pop open the palette and you’ll find an extra large mirror and five emblematic shades for lips.

Each boasts a creamy texture and intense colour pay-off. There are different finishes from glossy to sheer in rich shades that stand out. These colours would look particularly stunning on those with darker skin tones.

Couture Palette Collector

YSL’s popular Couture Eyeshadow Palette is reimagined with solar yellow gold, a puzzle of blue shades and a pop of pink. The colours were carefully chosen to contrast, clash or complement depending on how they are applied and paired. You can use the solar gold hue as a highlighter, a gentle wash of colour or a pop of acid brightness. The rose-pink is universally flattering.
