Why I’m partnering with #StarbucksAtHome

 

I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll be partnering with #StarbucksAtHome for the fall season with some incredible Starbucks coffee & merchandise giveaways, interviews and info. My beauty friends on social media know that I’m a huge Starbucks fan. For the past couple of years I’ve had an ongoing joke with my Starbucks coffee cups that always have the wrong name. (I do have an exotic name) I’ve had Dale, Dan, Raoul and Stever among others. I always laugh when I see what new name will appear on my cup. But I do honestly love the brand.

I actually turn down most of the companies that approach me to collaborate. Whether it is Cityline or my social media, I only feature and give away the brands and products that I truly love. That is why you don’t see several popular brands on my site. If I don’t believe in it, I don’t promote it.

Not long ago, I discovered that a good friend of mine had joined Starbucks and was handling marketing for its packaged goods products you can buy in select grocery stores and drugstores. (True North, Pike Place and Verona coffee and Tazo tea) We started discussing the connection between coffee and beauty. YSL’s Black Opium fragrance, the first coffee-floral was a global success and started a trend in perfumery to coffee notes. Skincare formulas for moisturizers and body products often contain coffee ingredients – especially those that are energizing and refreshing. And coffee-hued nude makeup collections continue to be bestsellers. Even the drive towards ethical sourcing in coffee and skincare ingredients is similar. So the more we talked, the more we realized that it would be great fun to pair #StarbucksAtHome with beauty.
