“Au naturel doesn’t have to mean low-key” That is the message coming from the MAC Senior Artists for spring 2020. They encourage beauty enthusiasts to shift their perspective on neutrals. On runways and beyond, sheer textures and nude shades are transformed through sharp execution and extreme saturation. You’ll see that favourite nudes are updated and reimagined with a hint of pigment that adds interest and character. You can easily update your look this season with one of these modern neutrals.
MAC calls its spring 2020 colour collection “Loud and Clear” and you can see that clearly with the transparent packaging. And I think the star product is the five universally flattering lipsticks. These are colours tested on almost all skin tones to ensure they enhance and compliment everyone’s look.
“You know at first swatch that these treats can enhance any skin they touch, whatever depth and undertone,” explains Fatima Thomas, New York-based Senior Artist. She says you can wear the lipsticks with a sheer swipe or build them for more dramatic effect. The message is: be yourself, loud and clear. Here are the five star shades:
Sugar Sweet Cameo – midtone coral pink
Baroque The Internet – warm nude-pink
Sugar Dada – warm brownish-orange
Fleur d’Coral – light peach
Yash – deep neutral
THE GIVEAWAY: I gave away this set of five MAC Loud and Clear Lipsticks to one lucky reader. To enter, I asked readers to tell me in a blog post comment below which shade in the collection is their favourite? Amelia told us and we drew her name from all entries. Congrats Amelia!
