Tempting Sweets

New York fashion designer Anna Sui is spending time in the pastry kitchen this holiday season whipping up sweet beauty collection of lip, eye and cheek colours. Entitled “Tempting Holiday Sweets”, the limited edition makeup collection includes a pair of makeup sets, nail colour and a vintage-inspired makeup mirror.

The first gift set is a black hat box crowned with a hot pink bow. It’s called “Sweet Espresso” and contains a mix of Creamy Eye Colour, Creamy Cheek Colour, Moisturizing Lip Colour and Lip Balm Jelly. The colours are chocolate, cherry and cranberry – with gold and silver pearls.  It retails for $39.

“Sugary Sweet” is a gift set in a white box containing pinks and bronze hues – again with silver and gold pearls. The products are housed in round jars that are shaped like macarons.

Who can resist the sweet allure of chocolate chip ice cream? Anna’s most popular nail colour line is now even sweeter with the addition of a handful of chocolate chip ice cream-inspired shades. Vanilla white, cassis pink and mint green are standouts.

And one of my favourite aspects of this line is the beauty accessories. Anna does amazing trays and makeup boxes in black lacquer. Here she updates her famous hand mirror in translucent purple. The design is modelled after cake decorating. It’s priced at $25.
