Sisley’s Dream-Themed Scents
French luxury beauty brand Sisley is paying homage to the dreams of the founding d’Ornano family with six fascinating fragrant waters, each with a unique fresh, floral, warm or spicy facet. It’s called “Collection Les Eaux Rêvées”
L’Eau Rêvée d’Hubert
Scent style: herperide – aromatic – chypre
Perfumer: Alexis Dadier
Notes: shiso leaves, green betolina, mint, Egyptian geranium, Virginia cedar, papyrus, patchouli, ambroxan
The newest addition, L’Eau Revee d’Hubert features a cherished note from Isabelle d’Ornano’s garden, a climbing geranium. Unfurl its velvety leaves, rub them between your fingers, and they will release a vibrant green and unexpected scent. It has a fresh rosy aroma with a green character.
L’Eau Revee d’Isa
Scent style: hesperide – floral – warm
Perfumer: Guillaume Flavigny
Notes: green mandarin, grapefruit, pink peppercorn, jasmine, green tea, musk
This fragrance was developed in memory of Isabelle and Hubert d’Ornano’s walks through the idyllic garden they carefully designed and nurtured. It blends the vivacity of a bouquet of white flowers with intense spices.
L’Eau Revee d’Alma
Scent style: aquatic floral-woody
Perfumer: Bernard Ellena
Notes: iced cardamom, bergamot, basil, liquid iris, Egyptian jasmine, cyclamen, rose, patchouli, sandalwood, vetiver
A delicate aquatic flower blends with frosty cardamom to create an elegant floral scent that unfolds over time like the changing sunlight in one of the family’s gardens.
L’Eau Revee d’Eliya
Scent style: floral-woody
Perfumer: Domitille Bertier
Notes: hibiscus, passionflower, frangipani, bergamot, tuberose, Turkish rose, violet, cedar, ambrette seed, patchouli
What’s interesting about this fragrance is that it opens with sunny floral accord of exotic blooms. These are normally layered in the heart notes, but perfumer Bertier kicks off with florals then adds a little bergamot citrus for freshness. The rose and violet balance nicely and the cedar gives longevity.
L’Eau Revee d’Aria
Scent style: chypre – spiced – warm
Perfumer: Shyamala Maisondieu
Notes: bergamot, mandarin, grapefruit, lemon, purple ginger, devilwood, peach, apricot, patchouli, vetiver, benzoin, vanilla, musk
It was Isabelle d’Ornano’s love of spicy food that inspired this particular composition. It’s built around devilwood, a flower with peachy and leathery notes that blends beautifully with the purple ginger. The opening citrus notes are particularly uplifting and work well with the spices. Musk adds a softness to the whole impression.
L’Eau Revee d’Ikar
Scent style: aromatic-woody
Perfumer: Vincent Ricord
Notes: bitter orange, bergamot, lemon, carrot seed, iris, jasmine, orange pekoe tea, green cistus, sandalwood, vetiver
The myth of Icarus is the inspiration behind this aromatic-woody fragrance. The landscapes of Corsica, one of the homes of the d’Ornano family provides added beauty. There are some surprising and unusual notes in this fragrance including green lentisk, a resiny shrub that is paired with vetiver to create a lively accord. And the orange pekoe tea works well with the iris and jasmine.

September 1, 2023 at 2:46 amOh my word! These sound wonderful! I love fragrances, I wear them day & night! Most expensive in the day and the cheaper ones after a shower before I get into bed. I also have a few on the go at the same time, so my nose doesn’t ‘ignore’ them 😍 @SheerieF
