shu uemura’s haute street Autumn 2015 colour collection is an explosion of colour in a season of neutrals. The Japanese artistry brand proves that vibrant shades of turquoise, lime and fuchsia look good any season when placed carefully. That was what made Mr. Shu Uemura so exceptional in Hollywood. His technique was so exact and precise, he was able to use wild colour in such a controlled manner. The results were breathtaking.
You’ll see the perfect illustration of this exacting technique in the model image for the fall collection. She’s wearing pink, yellow and turquoise eyeshadow at once but it is such a small amount, it looks perfectly tasteful. Our pro makeup artist friend Nina Westbury always says that anyone can wear colour. It is just how you place it and how much you use.
Here are the star products of the collection. These are the items I think that really stand out.
haute street eyeshadow palette in cool x chic
haute street eyeshadow palette in warm x vibrant
rouge unlimited lipstick in city neon
rouge unlimited lipstick in brick burgundy
dual-ended eye colour pencil in cool x chic
dual-ended eye colour pencil in warm x vibrant
tint in gelato lip colour in urban coral

September 10, 2015 at 8:20 amI love most aspects of this collection, and would give it an 8/10. The cool x chic palette hold more of my usual shades, but if I won the set, I would enjoy a little experimentation with the other colours. Fingers crossed and thanks 🙂

September 10, 2015 at 5:22 amI would use the more neutral, conservative tones mostly. The light greens and blues I would use for a summer look. Not sure I would use yellow and pink though as they won’t really stand out with my skin tone
