Review Diorblush Cheek Sticks & win them! You could say that blush has made a resurgence in the past 12 months thanks in part of Marc Jacobs and Michael Kors featuring the look in their runway shows. Beauty companies were quick to see an opportunity and launched new generations of perennial favourites. From cheek and lip stains to customized blush that adjusts the hue depending on your skin chemistry, blush is a growing category in the industry.
Peter Philips, Dior’s Creative Director of Makeup has just introduced a jumbo-size, take-anywhere stick that can delicately highlight the cheekbones or create a stunning sculpting effect depending on the look you want. “I like to blend Diorblush Cheek Sticks in small touches with the fingertips,” he says. “But regardless of the intensity, its three shades – rosewood, fresh pink and apricot orange – colour the cheeks with a velvety finish. And that is the key to this product – the finish. While some cheek stains leave a rosy, almost shiny texture on skin, this Cheek Stick delivers a velvety finish.
When working with a blush like this with your fingers, remember that less is more to start. The warmth of your fingers will cause the product to expand so it is best to start with a small dab and then add if you want more colour. Philips worked extensively with the design team to make this blush easy-to-use and foolproof.
There are three shades to choose from:
675 Cosmopolite Coral
765 Cosmopolite Rosewood
845 Cosmopolite Pink
The giveaway: I’m gave away a set of these Diorblush Cheek Sticks to one lucky reader. I asked readers to tell me their favourite shade in the collection in a blog post comment below. I drew one name at random on September 16 from all those who entered. Congrats to Jenna B!
