Rate Urban Decay’s Wired Pressed Pigment Palette (& win it!)

For anyone who is looking for a burst of vibrant colour during the dark days of winter, California-based beauty brand Urban Decay has just the answer. The edgy makeup brand has just launched its Wired Pressed Pigment Palette and it packs a punch of colour.

The 10-pan palette consists of six bold hues for face, body and eye – and four for face and body. What I love is there is a white pan called “Glitch”. Add a tiny bit to any of the other colours and you instantly create a soft pastel shade. So you can go bold or subtle depending on your mood or occasion.

The colour selection is carefully edited and clever. “Fluorescent” is a soft turquoise, “chaos” is a deep azure blue, “shock” is a fresh lilac, “current” is an emerald green, “jolt” is vibrant yellow, “gravity” is a strong purple, “savage” is a fuchsia pink, “switch” is a sunny orange and “slowburn” a true red. These are the perfect shades for festival season.

What’s great about this palette is the product is velvety-smooth. It delivers vibrant colour payoff while still being super blendable and buildable. Ask any makeup chemist and they will tell you this is very difficult to achieve. Colour pigment is difficult to formulate.
THE GIVEAWAY: I gave away an Urban Decay Wired Pressed Pigment Palette to one lucky reader. To enter, I asked readers to tell me in a blog comment below how they would rate this palette on a scale of 1 to 10. Kelsey M told us and we picked her name from all entries. Congrats Kelsey!

March 9, 2020 at 11:34 amI would give it an 8. I would love to experiment with it! I wish it had a peachier color in it, but I would love to try mixing the orange one with the pinks to see how that comes out. @tracylr233

March 8, 2020 at 11:59 amIt looks really nice and colourful but I don’t think the colours are right for me but they look great for my experimental teen so I’d give it 8/10

March 7, 2020 at 8:17 pmI would give it an 8 out of 10. I love all the bright colors but frankly they aren’t for me. Maybe I’m just a little color shy. I prefer neutrals and things that are a little subtler. But hey, my favorite color is black so that should tell you some!

March 6, 2020 at 4:12 pmThese shades are brilliant. I’d give it an 8 out of 10. I just can’t quite get on board with the outside case. It definitely pops and would be easy to spot on the shelf, but it has me thinking about the 3d Toronto sign.

March 6, 2020 at 12:15 amInitially, I probably wouldn’t buy it, I’m not sure if the colours would suit my middle aged skin . . .
BUT your comment about how you could use little product for a softer look is much more appealing! I really do like the ‘current’ green colour. 🥰 @ HelsKent

March 5, 2020 at 4:53 pmThis pallete has some colours that are definitely out of comfort zone, but I love makeup and would be willing to take a risk with these gorgeous, bold colours!

March 5, 2020 at 3:11 pmI would rate it as a 7 as the colours are all very strong and great but as an everyday palette, I would have trouble using just this palette. My twitter is @Rockingrobinw
