Rate Urban Decay’s Wired Pressed Pigment Palette (& win it!)
For anyone who is looking for a burst of vibrant colour during the dark days of winter, California-based beauty brand Urban Decay has just the answer. The edgy makeup brand has just launched its Wired Pressed Pigment Palette and it packs a punch of colour.
The 10-pan palette consists of six bold hues for face, body and eye – and four for face and body. What I love is there is a white pan called “Glitch”. Add a tiny bit to any of the other colours and you instantly create a soft pastel shade. So you can go bold or subtle depending on your mood or occasion.
The colour selection is carefully edited and clever. “Fluorescent” is a soft turquoise, “chaos” is a deep azure blue, “shock” is a fresh lilac, “current” is an emerald green, “jolt” is vibrant yellow, “gravity” is a strong purple, “savage” is a fuchsia pink, “switch” is a sunny orange and “slowburn” a true red. These are the perfect shades for festival season.
What’s great about this palette is the product is velvety-smooth. It delivers vibrant colour payoff while still being super blendable and buildable. Ask any makeup chemist and they will tell you this is very difficult to achieve. Colour pigment is difficult to formulate.
THE GIVEAWAY: I gave away an Urban Decay Wired Pressed Pigment Palette to one lucky reader. To enter, I asked readers to tell me in a blog comment below how they would rate this palette on a scale of 1 to 10. Kelsey M told us and we picked her name from all entries. Congrats Kelsey!

March 1, 2020 at 3:07 pmif you would’ve asked me a few years ago, I would’ve rated it a 10. The shades are wonderful, but nowadays I think it’s hard to wear all those beautiful shades…so a 8.

February 27, 2020 at 8:13 pmProbably 7/10 because the colours look really fun, but you couldn’t use these very often in regular settings, at least not together.

February 27, 2020 at 5:13 pmI’d give this palette a 7/10. It looks very pigmented but kught be difficult to transition. 8 yo every day wearable looks. Is live to try it out for some great spring and summer looks though!! You could definitely get creative with all those colors! @CitrinoShannon

February 27, 2020 at 5:07 pmI think this would be a really fun palette to be able to play around with because of the unique colors, so I would rate the look of it a 9 or 10 out of 10! My problem with some of the Urban Decay palettes in the past is that they don’t have enough matte shades to work with, but since this one does have more mattes than metallic shades, I think I will enjoy it. It will be interesting to see how people work with the face and body shades!

February 27, 2020 at 4:36 pmI love it. It’s bright but would pair well with other colors, neutrals or good ‘ol fashioned black, white, brown …
I’d rate it an 8 because it doesn’t have a transition or darkening color added but then again if you are to buy this you probably have a good collection and have those anyways 🙂 no point adding duplicates. I’m @beautysweeps on Twitter and @scarlet156 on IG

February 27, 2020 at 2:53 pm8/10 only because I would SO LOVE THIS for festival season however other than that I don’t feel like I’d reach for it as much just because of how bold the colours are. It wouldn’t go to waste though I promise that. Everyone needs atleast one popping pallet in their collection
