Rate Sephora’s Rexy Dinosaur Eyeshadow Palette
One of my very favourite limited edition makeup collections of this year is Sephora’s collaboration with American fashion brand Coach. The innovative beauty retailer has brought Coach’s laid-back Americana style to life by designing cheeky makeup items guaranteed to make you smile.
Within the collection, you’ll find a set of professional makeup brushes that contain removable rings with Coach’s mascots: a shark, a dinosaur, a unicorn and more. There is a tea rose lip gloss set, eye mask kit, and nail laquer set with swirling 1960s-style illustrations. But my favourites are the eye shadow palettes.
Rexy the dinosaur is a popular character who pops up on Coach backpacks, bags and jackets. So it is no surprise he’s front and centre in this beauty collection. What surprised me is how large and substantial this palette it. From the photo, I thought it would be compact. But it is large and very well made. It comes with a gold clip so you can latch it to your bag.
Slide Rexy to one side and it reveals six eyeshadows in buttery mattes, bold metallics and soft shimmers. The six colours are: taupe, frost, cedar, mauve, sunrise orange and peony pink. All very wearable.

May 25, 2021 at 12:50 pmI would rate the palette a 9. I love the colors and think they are great everyday colors. I can also see how you can create a night smokey look with the darker shades. I love the dinosaur. I think its different, unique and fun. My 13 year old loves dinosaurs, so through her I started to like dinosaurs. The reason I gave it a 9 and not a 10 is because I think instead of 2 different shades of dark plum/purple we could of kept 2 (maybe the 1 matte and 1 metallic) and the 3rd could of bed a completely different color. I love it though. I love seeing makeup starting to be fun and different. I love that it comes with a mirror. Not a lot of shadows, but its meant to be travel friendly with the keychain clip so I definitely understand. I also really appreciate that. As a mom to 6, I am always on the go. Something small I can throw into a bag or clip on makes like easier.
