Atkinsons Oud Save The King Giveaway
I’m so excited to have this special Atkinsons Oud Save The King fragrance to give away to one lucky reader. Atkinsons is a niche heritage fragrance brand from London that crafts the most interesting fragrances full of character. While I find many new designer fragrances smell the same these days, Atkinsons is always a surprise. There is always a surprising note or pairing in each formula.
Of the literally dozens of fragrances Atkinsons has launched since its inception in 1799, Oud Save The King remains one of its all-time bestsellers around the world. This is a fragrance that scent enthusiasts go back to again and again. It’s blended beautifully with notes of earl grey tea, bergamot citrus, orris root absolute (one of the most expensive ingredients in perfumery, suede accord, woods, sandalwood and oud (agarwood resin). Think of it as a warm, comforting scent for him or her with a pop of fresh earl grey tea. It’s the creation of perfumer Amandine Clerc-Marie. She describes it as Oriental spices meets British posh. It really does smell expensive.
James Atkinson opened his soap and perfumes shop in 1799 in London, England, blending aromatic and intriguing scents often using flowers and ingredients found in the U.K. . His creations became so popular that he was appointed the official perfumer of the Royal Court of England in 1826. The perfumer was soon blending exquisite scents for the most aristocratic and exclusive clientele throughout Europe.
I gave away a bottle of Atkinsons Oud Save The King to give away to one lucky reader. We drew the name Amna P from all entries. Congrats Amna!
