Marc Jacobs Decadence debuts (win it) I’m giving readers the opportunity to be one of the first in the world to try Marc Jacobs’ sexy new fragrance, Decadence. Marc says he created it for the ‘fun-loving extrovert.’ When the designer starts creating a new fragrance, he imagines the ‘girl’ who will wear it. Daisy was about the girl-next-door. Lola was the quirky artist. And Decadence is the show-off. She’s the life of the party.

The scent itself is classified as a sensual woody scent. It was created by Master Perfumer Annie Buzantian and contains notes of Italian plum, iris, saffron, Bulgarian rose, jasmine sambac, orris, liquid amber, vetiver and papyrus woods. Marc wanted a fragrance that had a signature of sophisticated indulgence.

 

The bottle is a clever nod to Marc Jacobs fashion aesthetic, a bottle inspired by Marc’s classic handbag shape. Rendered in a palette of rich emerald green, Decadence features an exotically textured arched python cap. A gold chain and black silky tassel are the finishing accents. The deep green outer carton has a velvety feel to it.

 

First to own: Marc Jacobs’ fans in Canada will have the opportunity to be one of the first in the world to own Decadence on Saturday, September 12^th. Hudson’s Bay will have 50 bottles available for sale on thebay.com and 100 bottles at the Yorkdale store. Decadence is expected to launch officially on September 21^st.
