Throughout my career as a beauty editor and journalist, I’ve had the honour of interviewing many of the top celebrity makeup artists. Val Garland was remarkably shy and sweet. Francois Nars was introspective and thoughtful. Bobbi Brown is a powerhouse of enthusiasm and energy. And Nina Westbury has become one of my closest friends. But that said, I’m always impressed with how down-to-earth and kind Lisa Eldridge is. She reached out to me on Twitter years ago and is such a nice person. It’s one thing to make it to the top in the beauty world, but it is a completely different to do it and remain kind and friendly. She’s a role model in so many ways.

A New York Times bestselling author thanks to “Face Paint: The Story of Makeup”, Lisa brings a deep understanding of the history of cosmetics.
