Lancôme names new Creative Director of Makeup

French luxury beauty house Lancôme has just announced a new Creative Director of Makeup. Lisa Eldridge, a favourite of the world’s top fashion photographers such as Solve Sundsbo and Mert & Marcus, is known for edgy, trailblazing style. In 2009, she created her own blog that became an overnight sensation. On New Year’s Day, she appeared bare-faced and shared secrets of how to erase the reminders of the festive ‘night before’. What captured the attention of thousands of women was her humour and honesty. Since then, Lisa has shared tips about well-being and feeling good about yourself. She’s determined to help women look gorgeous in minutes. Lisa has over million subscribers today. Kate Winslet is one such subscriber. She has always trusted Lisa with her makeup.

It’s a full-circle moment for Eldridge. She actually worked at the Harrods Lancôme counter 20 years ago where she worked as a beauty advisor. Now, she will work with the French brand to create products and collections perfectly aligned with her “effortless chic” approach. Better yet, she will create video tutorials and techniques to make women’s lives easier.
