December is the most mportant month of the year for fragrance and beauty brands. (It can make or break a brand.) So far, fragrance sales up 7% year-over-year. Cosmetics and skincare up low single digits. I visited CHCH’s tv studios to showcase my favourite fragrance and beauty gift ideas. Remember, if you see a limited edition scent or makeup item for holiday that you like, buy it. Brands only do one production run worldwide so when they sell out, they aren’t replaced.

Ferragamo Sublime Leather Eau de Parfum Intense, 50 ml, $113
This rich amber-fougere-woody fragrance for him is ideal for anyone who likes a leather-themed scent. The smooth leather accord is balanced with a hint of cinnamon, davana and cedarwood.
Clarins Lip Duo: Water Lip Stain 03 Red Water, $42 + Lip Comfort Oil 03 Cherry, $42
More red lip colour is sold during the month of December than any other shade. Experiment with different textures. Clarins’ Water Lip Stain is a customizable matte finish that combines the feel of water with the staying power of a stain. Lip Comfort Oil taps Organic Sweetbriar Rose, organic jojoba and hazelnut for maximum hydration and shine. (You can even combine these two products)
