The Estée Lauder Companies is bolstering its niche fragrance division with two major purchases. The American beauty company has inked deals for Le Labo and Editions de Parfums Frederic Malle, arguably two of the most important niche apothecary perfumery brands. WWD estimates that Le Labo generates anywhere from $20 to $30 million in sales annually and is particularly popular with Millennial customers. Malle is estimated to have approximately $16 million wholesale. These acquisitions will complement Lauder’s other high-end perfume brands including Tom Ford, Jo Malone, and Michael Kors Beauty.
