Dior reimagines its iconic 5-Couleurs Eyeshadow Palettes with new formulas and new colour harmonies inspired by the couture fashion craftsmanship and designs.
Fans of Dior’s 5-colour eyeshadow palettes will be happy to learn that the famous French fashion house has reworked the formulations and colours this season. Peter Philips, Creative & Image Director for Dior Makeup worked with the brand’s chemists in the Dior Laboratories to develop a fine and creamy powder shadow with a no-makeup feel on skin. It promises immediate, long-wear colour that suits all skin tones with pigment that stays true to the shade. For the first time, the shadows are enriched with skincare ingredients: aloe vera for its smoothing properties and pine oil for its softening action.
The new Makeup Clutch
You’ll notice that the compact design is larger in size than previous versions for easier application. There is a new silver CD push-button latch that allows the lid to gently open. And there is a silver trim on the interior. The new Dior motif is embossed across the central shade, as if sewn into the eyeshadow. For a finishing touch, the applicators were redesigned to facilitate easier makeup application.
Dior Couture-Inspired Eye Palettes
Each of the four eye palette harmonies was inspired by a Dior runway look. Peter chose his shade combinations to reflect the spirit and craftsmanship found in Dior’s couture ateliers where gowns are stitched by hand using traditional techniques passed down from generation-to-generation.
