Dior en Diable: Fall Look 2018

Peter Philips, Creative Director for Dior Makeup has once again proven that he is one of the most exciting makeup artists in the world at this time with his Fall Look 2018 for the iconic French fashion house. He’s fearless when it comes to colour and pairs the most unexpected and interesting colours for a truly modern look. While searching through the Dior archives, he found ads bearing the slogan “Dior en Diable” that boasted fiery oranges, molten reds, lava-like rusts and smoky purples in a variety of richly pigmented formulas.

“Christian Dior is associated with the femme-fleur and rightfully so, but he was also a daring couturier,” says Philips. “He excelled in dressing his clients in angelic pink but also in an almost toxic, and thus irresistible, orange.” He channels this devilish spirit via dramatic matte and metallic finishes designed for eyes, lips and cheeks.
