Carolina Herrera Good Girl Glorious Gold or Dot Drama edition? Tell us your favourite and you could win both!
Fashion designer Carolina Herrera pulled off the remarkable feat of designing a truly unique perfume bottle and blending a show-stopping fragrance that has global appeal. She’s since stepped back from her company but she leaves having created a truly sexy fragrance.
She launched the fragrance in 2016 after working closely with perfumer Louise Turner to develop a sexy and addictive Oriental perfume for her. Turner combined notes of lemon, bergamot, almond, orange blossom orris, tuberose, roasted tonka bean, sambac jasmine, vanilla, sandalwood, coffee, amber, patchouli and cocoa. It’s a complex and layered scent with lasting power.
To convey the sexy nature of the fragrance, Carolina tapped supermodel Karli Kloss as the face of Good Girl. Tagging the ads with the catch phrase “It’s good to be bad”, Kloss conveyed the addictive nature of the scent in the print and tv ad campaigns.
2019 saw two limited edition collector bottles for Good Girl. The first was called Dot Drama and played off one of Herrera’s favourite fashion motifs – polka dots. Kloss modelled a number of Herrera dresses and outfits sporting dot designs.
And just in time for Christmas comes a glittery-gold wonder called “Glorious Gold”. It’s a shimmery gold metallic bottle that comes in a matching box. It has been so popular, some stores sold out the same day it launched.
Now, both collector bottles contain the original, award-winning scent. It’s just the look of the bottle that is different.
