Bobbi’s Malibu Nudes! Get a jump on spring weather with Bobbi Brown’s California-inspired Malibu Nudes collection. It arrives on counters this month and is the ideal makeup to get a West Coast look even while there are three feet high snow banks. The limited edition makeup collection features an eye palette, blush duos and six Art Sticks. Kate Upton once again is the face of the ad campaign. She’s photographed on a Malibu beach holding a turquoise and white Bobbi Brown surfboard. (How do we get one of those?)
“Malibu Nudes is simple to apply and blends effortlessly because it works with your skin tone, but mostly it’s instantly pretty,” says Brown.
The star product is Bobbi’s iconic neutral shadows in her original Nude on Nude Eye Palette that contains nude, cement, wheat, espresso and malted shades. The dark brown shade can be used to line and subtly define eyes. These really are Bobbi’s best neutral shadows.
Inspired by cheeks’ healthy flush after a day in the sun, Bobbi’s Blush Duos boast two shades of blush for a natural and long-lasting wash of colour.
To achieve Bobbi’s signature “just pinched” cheek look, dust the softer shade of blush onto cheeks, and then follow with a pop of brighter blush, applied just on the apples of the cheeks. There are four Blush Duos in the collection: pastel pink/powder pink, sand pink/pale pink, tawny/peony, plum/French pink.
“Your perfect shade of blush should match the colour of cheeks when you’re naturally flushed.” – Bobbi Brown
To complement the fresh and relaxed Malibu-Nude look, Bobbi has curated a selection of six Art Sticks, ranging from classic neutrals to bold brights. The moisturizing yet long-wearing formula glides effortlessly onto lips with a creamy-matte finish. Line lips with the point of the pencil to achieve natural-looking definition, then hold the flat edge against lips to fill in colour. “Your perfect nude lip colour matches your natural lip colour, or is one or two shades darker,” advises Bobbi.
Bobbi Brown Cosmetics is available at select Hudson’s Bay stores in Canada including Downtown Toronto at Queen Street and Yonge.

March 4, 2016 at 12:28 pmI love how Bobbi Brown often creates products that are made to mimic and enhance the NATURAL flushes and shades we have (as mentioned in your article, Dave) and that is why Bobbi Brown is one of my absolute favourite brands. Time and time again I am amazed at what they produce, and the quality of her products as well. Great review!! Can’t wait to go check this out in stores.

March 3, 2016 at 7:35 amI like the eyeshadow but I do not like pink blush on me -it is not a great choice for me so although the eyeshadow interests me, the blushes do not. Just a personal preference. The blushes have great colours and on a person with the right colouring they would be great.

March 2, 2016 at 3:06 pmBobbie Brown is a true woman’s ICON.. I own all of her books right from her first to the one before this one. I’ve given them as gifts to the very young ladies in my life right up to my girlfriends in their 50s. Being a Makeup artist by trade I love watching Bobbie in action as well as relaxed in interviews at home with her children in the early books.
I’ve tried some of her colour and refillable compacts and of course her brushes are a part of my personal and professional life. Bravo to the lady who gave new meaning to the word NEUTRALS!

March 2, 2016 at 8:36 amThe Nude on Nude Eye Palette looks beautiful. I remember years ago ( years) I treated myself to a BB lip gloss, I didn’t want it to ever run out.
