Ladurée was established in 1862 by Louise Ernest Ladurée, a miller who founded a bakery on the Rue Royale in Paris. The company's rise to fame came in 1930 when Pierre Desfontaines had the idea of the double-decker, sticking two macaron shells together with a creamy ganache filling. It was an immediate sensation and remains a bestseller today. The Estee Lauder x Ladurée makeup collection includes a limited edition lip oil collection, an eyeshadow palette and a pair of lipsticks. Each is inspired by an iconic scent in the Atkinsons archive that originally launched from 1799 to the mid-1950s. The formulas are reworked as a contemporary interpretation of the original keeping the spirit and character. The brand describes them as ‘Parfums Intenses’, powerful olfactory masterpieces using ultra-premium raw materials. Born for Eternity is the latest in the collection that pays homage to the myths and iconography of Ancient Egypt that swept the world with the discovery of King Tutankhamun’s tomb. Originally launched in 1925, this scent has been reworked using notes of Incense Essence, saffron, Egyptian Geranium, sweet praline, oud wood, leather and amber.     One of the most interesting beauty trends of the l One of the most interesting beauty trends of the last decade is the rise of 80s bands launching makeup collections. Fans of Def Leppard, Ozzy Osborne, and yes, Twisted Sister can recapture the hair band looks with blush palettes, eyeshadow sticks and lipsticks from Rock and Roll Beauty in the U.S. There are even scented candles available.
