“This spring is all about softness and tenderness.” – Olivier Echaudemason, Creative Director, Guerlain Makeup
“All women, whether younger or older, dreaming of having a cherub’s complexion,” says Guerlain’s Olivier Echaudemason. “To illustrate this spring collection, Natalia offers all of her freshness and luminosity. Of course, using products with exquisite and effective textures is a huge advantage and can help ensure a perfect result.”
Luxury French Beauty House Guerlain is renowned for its prestige fragrances – the company has created more than 800 in its history – but it is equally adapt at developing the most beautiful makeup and skincare. It may not be as well known as Chanel, but the quality is equally good.
For Spring 2015, Guerlain offers a new take on pink. This is a softer, gentler approach to colour that is best personified in its new Meteorites makeup: Baby Glow Light-Revealing Sheer Makeup. Imagine the benefits of those pink pearls in the iconic Meteorites product converted into a sheer foundation. I think the best benefit is how it hides fatigue. It does make you look well-rested thanks to a light-creating polymer in the formula. Add in SPF 25 and you have the ideal product for those who don’t have much time in the morning. It’s quick and easy.
“Apply evenly to the entire face, from the centre outwards, or dab onto specific areas to light up the features,” says Echaudemason. “For a perfect finish and enhanced radiance, layer with a halo of Meteorites Perles de Poudre or Meteorites Compact. It’s available in three subtle rosy shades.”
Olivier is equally excited that Meteorites are now available in a compact form. The pearls are finely pressed into a compact for easy travel. “To boost radiance, trace a “G” from the centre of the forehead towards the temples, then over the cheekbones and top of the nose before sweeping down to the tip of the chin.”
Fans of pink will want to snap up the Meteorites Perles de Blush in Angelic Radiance that adds the perfect soft colour to cheeks. It’s a harmony of three pearls that creates such a natural effect: fuchsia to revive the natural colour of the cheeks, iridescent champagne to illuminate the natural curve of the cheekbones and a rose petal pink to gently refresh the complexion. They are housed in a revamped vintage “toile de Jouy”-style case inspired by Guerlain’s heritage. Cherubs and Victorian motifs adorn the case.
The colour collection is perfect for those who want a soft, spring makeup look. The Ecrin 4 Couleurs in Les Nuees dresses eyes in sky blue, delicate pink, elegant navy and a white highlighter. The shadows are embossed with the new Guerlain festoon motif.
Could this be the perfect soft pink lipstick shade? This KissKiss lipstick is called “Rosy Silk” and it is a tender nude pink that will work with most skin tones. It works seamlessly with Colour Lacquer in “Baby Rose.”

February 9, 2015 at 6:23 amHave the palette above & the green one. So gorgeous. Also ordered the perles. They look lovely but going back b/c the outer packaging feels so cheap.Wish they could have made them in a beautiful metal casing w/this design. This container feels like cheap cardboard. Still must get that Rosy Silk Kiss kiss lipstick & Baby Glow Light-Revealing Sheer Makeup.
These collections in so many brands are getting more beautiful w/each new season which sucks b/c it’s leaving me penniless. I’d rather give up food than beautiful make up. As my sister says, I’ll make a gorgeous corpse if I continue to take that stance. What can I say. I love beauty.
Thank you dave for doing such a great job showing these beautiful products. A face chart for this palette and the green one would be great (Nina, can you hear me). Nina’s face charts teach me so much about make up application & how to make best use of the colors.
