Global fragrance sales are expected to reach $86 billion dollars in 2026. It’s the first year that online sales of perfume are expected to exceed those sold in store. Gen Z and Gen Alpha are both gravitating to premium/luxury fragrances. “Fragrance Wardrobing” – collecting multiple scents is fueling demand. AI is driving more sales from scent creation, consumer recommendations and even targeting distribution. Overall growth is moderating – low single digits.
