7 for January
The 2018 beauty season is off to a roaring start. Here are seven particularly interesting items to check out.
YSL Colour Hallucination Collector Lip Palette
Experience psychedelic colour with this limited edition lip palette that boasts five YSL lip shades and an extra large mirrored compact. The formula boasts an extra-creamy texture with intense colour payoff. There is even a lip brush for precise application. What I like is you’ll find different textures from glossy to sheer.
Clinique Moisture Surge 72-Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator
Here’s a great solution to dry skin – especially during the cold, dry winter months. This fast-absorbing gel-cream hydradator promises 72-hours of continuous moisture, even after washing you face. Not only does the formula boost skin’s hydration but helps skin activate its own internal water source thanks to hyaluronic acid, humectants and activated aloe water. It’s the aloe with caffeine that encourages skin to rehydrate itself.
This women’s fragrance has launched throughout Europe and now comes to North America having been a big success around the world. What is interesting about this particular scent is it is a new category of scent: an Oriental Botanical Carnal fragrance with rhubarb leaf, orange blossom, bourbon vanilla, wolfwood and Tiger Liana. It is the way these five substances, three heart notes, two overdoses and one magnetic field are combined to make it unique: a floral gourmand to me.
Dior Lip Glow in Matte Raspberry
In 2009, Dior unveiled its first colour reviver lip balm that adjusted the colour to suit each person’s skin tone. It did this through skin chemistry and offered a healthy pink hue to lips. “Dior Lip Glow is a lip balm, and so much more,” explains Dior’s Peter Philips. “It has become an essential part of women’s routines, as it is a fantastic combination of lip care and makeup. It is so intuitively simple to apply, you don’t even need a mirror, and it provides incredible and refreshing tailor-made colour.” You’ll find five new shades this month: one holographic effect formula, two matte and two original glow. The star shade is Matte Raspberry.
Clarins SOS Pure Rebalancing Clay Mask
Clarins has just launched a trio of luxe face masks that uses the brand’s skincare expertise to offer a spa-like effect. The rebalancing clay mask is particularly good and idea for anyone with oily or problematic skin. It absorbs the excess sebum without stripping the skin of essential oils.
Lancome Absolue Precious Cells Renewing & Revitalizing Peel-in-Oil
This gentle evening peel is formulated to awaken the morning glow we all desire even if we don’t get our full 8 hours of sleep each night. Rose Drop adds nourishing properties to the exfoliating power of a peel. To apply, simply spray it into the palm of your hand, then spread it evenly across your entire face using a gentle tapping motion.
Estee Lauder Daywear Eye Cooling Anti-Oxidant Moisture Gel Crème
Fans of the iconic Daywear formula will be happy to learn there is a new addition to the family: a cooling anti-oxidant moisture eye gel crème. It soothes and nourishes the fragile skin around the eye area.
