The fascination with rose notes continues through summer 2018 as perfumers find new and interesting ways to use the note. I’ve noticed that these artisans are choosing roses with either fruity or spicy characteristics. I think the reason that rose scents continue to be so popular is the rose is known throughout the globe as a symbol of romance. Just look at the popular Bachelor reality tv series. They hand out roses. And most weddings will feature bouquets with roses. It’s a note that is instantly recognized and liked.
Viktor & Rolf created a layering rose oil to be used with its popular Flowerbomb fragrance. You add a drop to your skin, then spray the fragrance overtop. The rose oil adds a sensual explosion of deep rose notes and adds a fresh floral effect to the fragrance. “The Rose Twist boosts the rose note of the Flowerbomb Eau de Parfum and evokes feelings of elegance and femininity,” says the duo. Of course, you can wear it on its own for a pure rose scent.
