YSL’s Le Fuchsia Collection
French beauty brand YSL has just unveiled its first limited edition beauty collection inspired by a single colour – one that is in the DNA of Saint Laurent. It’s called Le Fuchsia and it consists of four special signature shades and moods of fuchsia pink. Saint Laurent used to incorporate the colour into his ready-to-wear and couture collections through ruffles, ribbons and bows. Because of this, the original No. 19 Le Fuchsia lipstick was created, inspired by a vivid piece of fuchsia silk. It was deemed by the designed the perfect colour to make a subversive statement. Fashion editors at the time asked, “Who would wear such a scandalous colour?” Apparently, thousands of style-savvy women.
You’ll notice this Rouge Pur Couture No. 19 Fuchsia is a limited edition lipstick thanks to the Cassandra logo is now in the hot pink hue. The lipstick bullet within promises a satin, radiant stay-true colour. The pigment lasts for hours.
To encourage creativity, YSL Beaute has selected a collection of standout shades that allow you to explore the different variations of fuchsia.
No. 19 Fuchsia Intime (classic fuchsia pink)
No. 78 Plum (a deep fuchsia with a hint of purple)
No 79 Cool Fuchsia (gloriously unabashed pink)
No. 80 beige (groomed beige with a hint of pink)
