Which #StarbucksInCostaRica beauty look is for you? (Lisa Anne told us & won this complete set)
With the amount of Starbucks that I drink each day it is no wonder that I’m excited by a Starbucks contest that offers a once-in-a-lifetime chance to visit the brand’s Hacienda Alsacia Coffee Farm in Costa Rica. The mission of the Farm is to create best practices to make growing coffee more profitable for small-scale farms; develop the next generation of disease-resistant, high-quality coffee; and share information and resources freely with farmers in the world. From the photos, the scenery and design of the buildings are spectacular.

Which #StarbucksInCostaRica beauty look is for you?
To celebrate this contest and get you prepared should you win the trip, I’ve created three different beauty looks with a signature blend of coffee. You could win the entire collection! Just tell me which of the following beauty looks appeals to you most.
Look One: True North + Shiseido
Shiseido has just reworked its entire makeup collection. They’re replaced every single makeup item with new, innovative formulas that boast the latest technology and colour science. The coffee-hued eyeshadows in this Essential Eye Palette are beautiful neutrals. It’s called the Hanatsubaki Night Life #06. Developed exclusively for Shiseido, these weightless powders were made using a breakthrough Cream Powder Matrix Technology comprised of an emollient blend of oils and esthers. A transparent base eliminates any chalkiness. And the UV Lip Colour Splash with SPF 30 was one of my favourite summer beauty launches. A hint of colour with great sun protection. The shade is Miami Pink.
To complement this look, I’ve included a package of True North Coffee. Named by Canadians, this blend is roasted from specially selected Latin American beans for a shorter time to highlight exquisite notes of rich cocoa and toasted nuts that pairs perfectly with cream and sugar. If you are new to drinking coffee, this is an ideal coffee to try.
Look Two: Pike Place + Lancome
Lancome’s Belle de Teint Powder Glow Trio is one of the nicest bronzing palettes I’ve seen. This is shade #12 Belle de Bronze and it creates a natural glow in seconds. You can use the different shades on their own to contour or swirl with a powder brush to create a sun-kissed effect. The perfect lipstick shade is Haute Nude, a neutral lipstick shade that looks good on so many different skin tones.
Pike Place is a smooth, medium-roast coffee blend with subtle notes of cocoa and toasted nuts. It’s well-rounded and balanced – one of Starbucks’ most popular coffees around the world.
Look 3: Caffe Verona + Clarins
French skincare and beauty brand Clarins offers makeup formulas that include many of their top skincare ingredients. It’s what makes the brand different from others. The makeup is a hybrid of colour cosmetics and skin care. This 4-Colour Eyeshadow Palette in 01 Nude include plant botanical ingredients, carnauba wax powder and sensorial mineral textures. Add in a Joli Rouge Velvet lipstick in Spicy Cinnamon for a more dramatic effect.
Caffe Verona is a deep, rich coffee that pairs well with chocolate. It is a seductive blend of beans from Latin America and Indonesia, with a gentle touch of Italian Roast. It has hint of sweetness to it.
The Giveaway: I gave away this complete set of #StarbucksInCostaRica items to one lucky reader. To enter, I asked readers to tell me in a blog post comment below which of the three looks is their favourite. Lisa Anne told us and we drew her name from all entries. Congrats Lisa!
Starbucks True North, Pike Place and Caffe Verona are available in Canada at select grocery stores and drugstores.
