This week’s exclusive newsletter subscriber giveaway: Clarins Blush Prodige in Golden Pink
When I ask pro makeup artists what one makeup product they can’t do without, I expect them to say lipstick, mascara or eyeliner. But recently, I get a different response: blush. One star makeup artist says it is the fastest way to look more rested and healthy. She says it is particularly effective in hiding lack of sleep.
Now, blush had had a bit of a poor reputation ever since Pat Benatar wore vivid stripes of blush in her Love is a Battlefield era. The New Romantic music era of the early 1980s wore bold stripes of colour that was anything but natural looking. Great for music videos, but maybe not so good for the workplace.
Today’s generation of blush is far more flattering. I particularly like this shade of blush from Clarins because it pairs pink with a golden undertone which works on so many skin tones. The iridescent finish creates a delicately sculpted effect. And it pairs mineral and plant extracts.
The Giveaway: I gave away a Clarins Blush Prodige in Golden Pink to one lucky newsletter subscriber. To enter, I asked readers to tell me in a blog post comment below what their favourite brand of blush is. Ruth C from the U.K. told us and we drew her name. Congrats Ruth
Clarins is available in Canada at Hudson’s Bay stores and thebay.com
