Miuccia Prada’s new rose.
Miuccia Prada’s true passion in life is art.
She is at her happiest when she’s collaborating with an artist or planning an exhibition in one of her galleries or boutiques. You can see that in her ready-to-wear collections.
She is a master at pairing vintage prints and accessories in unexpected and exciting ways. She takes something old and reinvents it for a new generation.
She also likes to work with artists who share a similar passion for the creative process. Such is perfumer Daniela Andrier who has worked with Prada on all of her Les Infusions de Prada fragrances.

It is an interesting concept. Miuccia and Daniela create a poetic interpretation of a single, emblematic natural ingredient. This has resulted in seven singular scents: Iris, Iris Cedre, Fleur d’Oranger, Amande, Vetiver, Mimosa and Oeillet. While the Prada Candy and the signature Prada scents focus on the combination of multiple notes to create a mood or atmosphere, Les Infusions are based on the character of one note.
This month sees the debut of the latest Les Infusions de Prada: Rose. It’s a bright, feminine scent that celebrates early summer’s species roses. There is a decidedly outdoors quality, transported by sun and breeze with an airy brightness ignited by crisp neroli. While some rose scents can be very sensual, velvety and almost heavy, this scent is soft and fresh. Inspired by an ancient variety of garden roses, a blend of Rose Bulgare, Turque and Petale are hand-picked in the early morning and quickly processed and infused in a perfumed water of Neroli, mandarin, and gelbanum. The result is spicier than absolute, more honey than oil, and fresh. It’s very well done.
